ViZi Pig

The ViZi Pig creates a new integrity screening solution for small diameter pipeline owners looking to protect their assets. This tool combines the free-swim functionality of MFL and UT inspection tools with the affordability of push cams and crawlers by conducting visual inspection of upstream flow lines.

Integrity screening with the ViZi Pig identifies wall loss indications, spalled coatings, leaks, and geometry deformations. This tool is the cost-effective solution for:

  • Return to service of lines for recompleted wells
  • Lines that have been sitting idle
  • Cyclic flow lines
  • and more!

See technical information below

Oil and gas producers all own and manage gathering system and flow line infrastructure. These lines carry a small amount of product as part of a larger production system. These small diameter lines are critical to daily operations and their integrity must be maintained to ensure low-risk, high margin operation.

However, due to their small size and low individual value, it is difficult to approve inspection expenditure for all these lines. Until now, producers would either inspect a small portion of many lines using a push cam or crawler, or inspect the full lengths of a few lines using magnetic flux leakage (MFL) or ultrasonic (UT) methods.
