Using this tool to push a pig into an entry tee, instead of hammering it in, prevents damage to the threads that would otherwise occur using a hammer.
Used in conjunction with a PET pig, you eliminate fluids spitting past the pig during installation. Instead, the fluids can flow through the check valve in the pig and are contained by the foot of the tool so they stay in the entry tee when you remove the tool.
